The “Nanouchi Shishimai Dance” at this shrine’s festival is the northernmost instance of a shishimai of the lineage of Ise Daikagura. After the Meiji era, it faced a crisis of disappearance several times, but it was revived with the enthusiasm of the local people. Two lions dance together accompanied by flute and drums. It was designated as a prefectural intangible folk cultural property in March 1976.

It takes place every year on November 1st or the Sunday just before November 1st.
